As part of our Student Voice initiative students are offered the chance to acknowledge the exceptional efforts and commitment our staff put in to supporting their education and wellbeing. We were positively overwhelmed by the thoughtful and considerate responses we received this Semester and we will be highlighting several of them this term.
First up is Jesse Turner, one of our amazing Physical Education teachers who received an outstanding amount of nominations. One student nominated Mr Turner for:
“always checking in on students after learning new topics in class or if someone missed a lesson he’d make sure to go over it with them, instead of telling them to just look at the slides. If you do not understand a topic or a practical skill he’ll help you and change his way of teaching until you do. Once you improve from where you were with that skill or even achieve it he is very encouraging and uplifting. As one would say an ‘inspirational’ teacher to his past and present students. He is always determined to reach his own goals and also helping others to reach their own.”
