Year 10 Drama students have been participating in Youth Choices action-oriented education program to transform from passive spectators into active participants, or ‘spect-actors’. Students worked together to construct and role play real-world scenarios, such as phone use in schools or arriving late to class, and explored how each characters’ wants affected their behaviour and body language. Students finished the class with a brief improvisation game that encourages precision, control and patience.
