Fogarty Foundation
As part of our work with the Fogarty Foundation, groups of staff recently participated in school visits to see “best practice” in Explicit Teaching models. This was a wonderful opportunity for our staff to see great work in classrooms and to also highlight the level of work being done in our own school.

Education Support
Some of our Education Support students have been exploring the ocean and the impact pollution has on the environment and our surroundings.
The students have created art work that shows how pollution can affect the ocean environment and animals and investigated with experiments in Science.
As a result, the students have become more aware and considerate of our school environment and contribute to keeping the environment litter free.

Ellenbrook Network Staff Development Day
Our school hosted the Ellenbrook Network professional development day. It was a highly engaging and informative day and we would like to acknowledge the many staff who presented and Ms Ball for planning such a large event so successfully. The Ellenbrook Network is a great example of the successful collaboration of public schools in the community.
Visual Arts
In Visual Arts, the Years 7s have been inspired by Indigenous artist Melanie Hava, and are experimenting with colour mixing in their Painting unit. Some students have already commenced their acrylic pour backgrounds. We are hoping to have these masterpieces ready for NAIDOC Week at the end of the term.
