Year 7 Home Economics
This week is the last week of Home Economics for our second group of Year 7 students. Our students have worked hard to develop their skills over the trimester and were able to demonstrate all their learning in the final lesson while making Macaroni and Cheese. Students created their own roux sauce from scratch using butter, flour, milk and cheese, which is quite complex! We are proud of their achievements and hope to see them return to Food Technology and Textiles as elective subjects in Year 9.

Some of our students have been involved in the Minecraft Teacher Trainers academy. In this academy, the students have been developing their leadership and collaboration skills to construct fantastic lessons for their teachers. A lot of work and preparation has been put into creating lessons on various aspects of using Minecraft For Education as a teacher. The students have been teaching staff how to use Minecraft to create more engaging and creative lesson plans in their classrooms. Our teachers have really enjoyed having the tables turned and receiving high quality instruction from their students.
