Letter to the Community
Bushfire Impact
We want to reassure the community, our parents and our students that our thoughts are with you. We are aware of the impact of the fire, evacuation and the anxiety in our community. Please let the College know if you need support for the return to school when that occurs. We will take into account the disruption to everyone and adjust our school program. Our first priority is the well-being and safety of our students. We look forward to seeing your children soon.
New staff: Kim Fraggall
Introducing Kim Fragall who is our new Student Services Coordinator, and will be overseeing our great pastoral care team at the College. Kim is an experienced and highly accomplished school leader we are delighted to have her join us.
I am eager to get to know the students, the parents and the staff of Aveley Secondary College in the Student Services Coordinator role. I have worked for the Department of Education for 17 years and have been in Student Services roles for over ten of those. Having most recently been at Ellenbrook Secondary College, I am no stranger to the area and am likely a familiar face among families. Being the Student Services Coordinator at Aveley, I am looking forward to watching each student develop over time, especially their humour and social and emotional growth that we are so honoured to see that accompanies their educational progress.
BUSHFIRE ACTION
The College site is closed and in keeping with the bush fire alerts, all staff have left the site. Our thoughts are with you as you manage the bush fires. Please stay safe and strong. I know you will face this challenge in typical community spirit.
