This term the Year 7 cohort attended their first lightning carnival. The Soccer boys, driven by their high sportsmanship and leadership, came away the championship team. Our Netball girls were triumphant with one team declared champions in the Green Division. A total of 13 goals were scored between the Floorball teams, a valiant effort! The Basketball girls showed real teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day and many other schools commented on their beautiful behaviour. Our Basketball boys just missed out on a placement despite trying their hardest and the AFL team showed a lot of promise on the field, with many students looking like they will be selected in future AFL competitions.

NEXTDC
Year 10 Digital Technology students visited NEXTDC, a data storage facility located in Malaga. Students explored the way that data and information is stored in these multi-million-dollar storage facilities while simultaneously also learning about the state of the art security that houses the millions of dollars’ worth of company data.
They learned about the lengths companies go through to protect critical data and the infrastructure that is needed to facilitate the safe storage of the information, very relevant in the digital age!
