Introducing Peter Fares who will be joining us as Dance teacher and Lead teacher in the Arts for 2019. Peter is a WAAPA (West Australian Academy of Performing Arts) graduate and has an impressive professional dance background. He is a great example to our students of finding your passion and running with it.

Hi all, I began dancing at age fifteen through the dance program at Rossmoyne Senior High School. I attended and graduated from WAAPA with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance. I then joined the Buzz Dance Theatre as a company member and performed seven seasons with them. I was also part of the indigenous community tour Big Stretch in 2010 and 2011, had final round auditions for the Lion King and The King and I, as well as dancing in the PIAf opera Madam Butterfly. In 2011 I was nominated for “West Australia’s Dance Award for Emerging Artists” and named “Dancer To Watch” in Dance Australia magazine.

In addition to my professional dance career, I have 12 years dance teaching experience with many dance studios in Perth, mainly The Dance Collective teaching in styles such as contemporary, jazz, lyrical and hip hop. At Cecil Andrews College I have been the Program Coordinator of the Specialist Performing Arts. I am excited to be joining Aveley SC taking on the role of dance teacher and lead teacher for The Arts.
