The College is very excited with the staff we have recruited for 2019 and will be introducing them to our school community over the remainder of the term. Our first introduction is for Casey Tough who will be joining our HASS team. Casey is a vibrant and passionate young teacher who will be a great addition for the school.
Hi everyone, my name is Casey Tough, and I will be teaching HASS at Aveley Secondary College. My specialisation is history, having undertaken research in …the areas of Indigenous Australian history, Australian history and media history. HASS is all about the fascinating society and world in which students live, this being a crucial part of their becoming proactive and engaged citizens. In the past few years I have participated in the education sector in a variety of ways, including the founding of a social enterprise, a fundraising drive and a book drive to serve students living in regional and remote areas. I am extremely excited about where this journey has taken me, and to be working as a teacher in this fantastic school. I very much look forward to getting to know all of the students at this wonderful school and working with this experienced team. See you next year!
