Students with possible interests in a future career in the healthcare industry had the opportunity to attend a 1-day Career Taster Excursion at North Metro TAFE in Mount Lawley.
They gained hands-on experience in activities like bed making, transporting patients, hover mats operating, first aid, bandaging, and treating snake bites.
The event highlighted various pathways into nursing, a high-demand field. For some, the experience confirmed their interest in healthcare, while for others, it clarified that the industry wasn’t the right fit—a valuable takeaway in itself.
