A small group of select students joined our Aboriginal Islander Education Officer for a two-day Indigenous Learning excursion held by the Polly Farmer Foundation recently.
On day one, students attended the Curtin Big Day Out event to experience a day in the life of a university student. This was followed up with a trip to the Perth RAC Arena on day two, to attend the Polly Farmer Follow the Dream Careers Brunch.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from all over the country attended the two days of activities, and Aveley Secondary College was proud to be one of the schools selected to be involved.
