On Monday of Week 5, 60 Year 9 students explored various career pathways at Murdoch University. After a presentation on careers and pathway exploration students rotated through activities in Forensics, Marine Biology and Wildlife Conservation. They spent each session with a student ambassador studying in that field, with each ambassador sharing their pathway to finding their career passion, sharing how they overcame any hurdles along the way.
Activities included students designing some clever and effective artificial habitats for threatened species, playing “forensics” Guess Who? and some (very) entertaining rounds of Shark vs. Stingray. Murdoch University staff and student ambassadors commended our students for their behaviour, engagement and thoughtful questions. Many thanks to Mr Anthony and Mr Broderick who offered their time and support in running the excursion.
